Six Months of Madeline

Our little girl is rounding out her sixth month with us and it completely amazes me that she has been part of our family for half a year. I haven't written much about our time together because the time just seems to fly. It seems like she has been part of our family forever and its hard to believe we ever lived our lives without her. In fact, I often wonder how our lives could have ever seemed complete before she made her arrival. She brings so much joy to our days.
Madeline is such a happy, happy girl these days. She smiles and laughs all day long and is rarely fussy or upset now. She loves to play in her jumperoo, splash in the pool, playing with toys that make noise, and bath time. She is loving trying new foods and so far she hasn't tried anything she doesn't like. In fact, she will get a little grumpy if she feels that you aren't getting the spoon to her mouth fast enough! She has turned into a great sleeper at night and takes great naps, which if you told me three months ago, I would not have believed for a second! Madeline can roll both ways and sit unsupported for a few seconds and she is so desperately trying to crawl. She moves her arms and legs in unison but she lifts them up into the air like she is swimming and leaves her belly down. It is pretty cute and she gets so frustrated that she isn't moving! She weighed in at 16 pounds 6 ounces and 25 and a half inches long at her six month checkup a couple weeks ago. Its hard to believe she started out less than six pounds. We love our sweet girl so much!
