I apologize for not blogging as much as usual last week. I noticed a lot of the bloggers I normally follow weren't blogging as much and I was finishing up with exams and doing some wedding things so blogging kind of went on the back burner. I'm starting fresh this week though and getting back on schedule!
Last week at work was rough. My two mischievous boys were extra mischievous, we had a case of head lice which I have to admit freaks me out (enough so that my clothes immediately came off daily as soon as I walked in the door, went into a hot load of laundry, and I went into a hot shower), and I had a student projectile vomit on Field Day on Friday. By far, not my best week at work this year.
I've been sick this weekend. Some kind of cold/fever combination that doesn't appear to be related to the projectile vomit incident in my class. I woke up Saturday morning, took Riley out, started to get ready to go to the gym then ran back up to my room to get some socks. Then, bam! It just hit me. I was feeling fine one second then literally the very next second I was dizzy, nauseous, and had chills. I immediately climbed into bed in the fetal position and slept for four hours. Then, I woke up and ate some soup. I then immediately climbed back in bed and watched six episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. I know I'm really too old to watch this show but I can't help but be hooked on it.
I had a lovely lunch with my family for Mother's Day yesterday. I sure am thankful for my mommy.
I have a confession. I am not taking my pre-wedding weight loss goals very seriously. Since this is the most important day of my life, I want to look the best I've ever looked in my life. I think I'm going to start doing some posts with healthy recipes and workout routines I've tried and if you followers have any suggestions, we can all share them to help each other out. Plus, if I tell you all that I'm trying to lose weight before the wedding, you'll have to hold me to it!
